KC’s Gifts and Surprises is a local business owned by Kevin Caro. As a former Hallmark Cards retiree with over 45 years in the business, Kevin describes his art as personalized
memories, and loves to make gifts that mean something to people.

Kevin started at Hallmark in 1978 where he worked in the puzzle department on second shift. He recently retired on January 1 7th, 2023, after 45 years of service at Hallmark and feels blessed to have worked with the #1 greeting card company in the world. His ambition is to expand his business and spend more time with his wife and family.

Being extremely versatile, Kevin engraves on wood, acrylic, ceramic tile, leather, glass, and stainless steel. Seeing how Hallmark touched people’s lives with cards from family and friends, but also seeing how 80% of the time the cards would be disposed inspired Kevin to make gifts that would last; things that could be displayed so that every time they looked at the gift displayed in their home, it would remind them of that family or friend with fond memories.
